Crockett Homes is proud to offer our "Crockett Ultra-R Log Homes", a hybrid system combining the economics of structural panel with the beauty of Log Homes construction. These Prestigious models are built with revolutionary R-Control EPS foam panels with post & beam second floor which replace standard 2 x 6 construction and conventional joists. These beautiful homes lower energy costs all year long.

Wall System:
The wall system is constructed with R-Control Structural Panels with an exposed solid timber band into which the joists are notched into with log siding on the exterior & 1" v-groove on the inside

Second Floor System:
This is a post & beam system consisting of 8 x 8 posts, 8 x 12 carry beams and 6 x 6 or 6 x 8 joists finished with 2 x 6 tongues and groove flooring. Beautiful curved braces are also an option.

Roof System Options:
Timber frame truss — Excellent solution where posts are undesirable.  Requires no ridge beam and no ridge post. Spacing is between 3' to 4' on center. Interior finish and insulation is completed with stress skin panels.

Timber rafters — Timber rafters are spaced 3' to 4' on center with a post & beam ridge and optional knee braces. Interior finish and insulation is complete with Stress skin panels.

Conventionally framed — Standard 2 x 12 rafters with a post & beam ridge, and optional knee braces, or timber collar ties.
